Teething problems

A couple enjoying the frozen lake in Lydiard Park where all but a small section was completly covered in ice. The local birdlife made full use of the cramped conditions and I've never seen so many varying species confined in one area. Photos to follow!
I've been having a few focusing issues recently when front to back sharpness is required. I think it's mainly down to my lack of experience with lenses and with chosing the correct point of focus, but it's a problem I look forward to conquering over the next couple of months.

A production still from my short film 'Sherry Red Shoes'.

One of a small selection of snow covered landscapes I was pleased with, this one taken in Cherill over the weekend as the snow began to fade. Landscape photography is certainly my weakest area as I don't very often make the effort to practice, something that I'm determined to change in 2010. Achieving pleasing, well balanced compositions is something I want to make improvements with this year.
