This was quite possibly the best weekend I've had in a long time. I had the opportunity to spend Friday afternoon and most of Saturday on set of The Cranford Cronicles in Lacock as they continued to film the Christmas special.
A national treasure, the wonderful dame Judi Dench as Miss Matty Jenkyns. She was both humble and down to earth, taking time out to speak to the patient few that managed to catch her between takes. Keeping a good sense of humour, depite a few crazed fans trying to get her photo at every opportunity. I feel very lucky to have been able to chat with her, even if it was very briefly.
The fantastic Celia Imrie as Lady Glenmire. The most available and open of all the main cast. I'd forgotten she was even in the Cranford special until I bumped into her walking through the village!
Many other famous faces make an appearance including well known stage actor Jim Carter who plays Captain Brown
Imelda Stauton Back as Miss Pole and man in charge, director Simon Curtis
